Additional Information

Born Everard Jean Hinrichs, Eric Sloane created his first name from the middle letters of ‘America.’ Sloane’s works, whether they are of covered bridges in Connecticut, pueblos in Taos or cloud forms and landscapes anywhere in these United States, are as American as his name. Sloane finds the beauty on a bright, leafless day in the hardscrabble New England hamlet of Cornwall Bridge through crisply outlined forms and sharply drawn shadows.
