Charles Pabst was born in the Santa Clara Valley in California but moved to Arizona in 1978 to study fine art at Arizona State University. Pabst is best known for his intricately detailed landscapes of the American West. El Moro is a U.S. National Monument in New Mexico and is the site of an Ancestral Puebloan culture that lived atop the mesa between Zuni and Acoma pueblos from1275 to 1350 AD.
